Recap 2022

2022, the year of freedom. From 2020 our lives consisted of mouth masks, social distancing, covid-safe tickets and lockdowns. Even in the first months of this year, we all had to stick to the rules together to be able to control the virus.

Behind the mouth masks, we have set up our Velotel Smile to give you a great stay. Fortunately, all the rules were only there for the first few months of 2022 and we still regained our freedom!

In the past year we have devoted ourselves 365 days to giving the best of ourselves and with this newsletter we would like to give you a glimpse into our 2022.
 

Happy guests

Making our guests happy, that's what we strive for every day! That's why we always like it very much that we receive positive feedback after every stay. Last year we received this card from Rick & Mirjam from the Netherlands. This warms our hearts!

Cycling teams

Also this year we welcomed a few professional cycling teams. More and more often they find their way to the bicycle hotel of Bruges.

But also in 2022, a few smaller cycling teams (non-professional) visited Hotel Vetotel! WTC Pellenberg from Lubbeek and KWTC De Trappers from Wevelgem, it was a pleasure to welcome you. Are you also a cycling enthusiast or do you know cycling enthusiasts? Then you can always show them the way to us!

High visit

Also this year we had some well-known people visit Hotel Velotel Bruges. The production company Geronimo spent a few nights in our hotel during the recording of the series 'Under Fire'.

In 2022 we had visits from, among others, Ann Tuts (FC De Kampioenen), Nora Gharib (Blind Gesprongen), Thomas Van Hemeledonck (journalist/news anchor), Bart Appeltans (Blind Gekocht), Hugo Broos (former Belgian football player/national coach South Africa).

Hospitality awards

This evening was the perfect ending to a beautiful 2022, the icing on the cake. At the end of November, together with the entire team, we won some great prizes. The reward for everyone for all the hard work we do together, day in and day out! We won both the awards for the second most customer-friendly private hotel in Belgium and the prize for the best staff team.

We look back with great pleasure on a beautiful 2022! The entire Velotel team wishes you all a healthy and happy 2023, surrounded with the people you love.
